On our way home from a family lunch, we called a few friends and within an hour we were getting dirty at the local mud hole.

Alabama Hills holds a special place in our hearts because this is where we've decided to have our wedding. I've lost count as to how many times we've been traveling here but each visit we've done, its been spectacular. We've seen it dry and arid, but also wet and covered with snow.
We took a last minute day trip over to Death Valley. With us was my brother and my cousin Matt who picked up a new Jeep and was itching to get out. We decided to start our way from Ballarat and take Mengel Pass into Death Valley. Unfortunately, I didn't take many photos on this trip.
ALABAMA HILLS + DEATH VALLEY

We spent our 4th over in Big Bear with some family and friends.
Before I proceed, thank you for those that have paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedoms here in the US.
My brother and the family decided to take a day trip to Red Rock Canyon SP and explore the area.
Our first stop was Burro Schmidt's Mine & home. We've come to learn that he hand dug the tunnel for 32 years that stretched for about a half mile.
We then made our way to Bickel Camp:
Then we made our way to Cudahy mines and found some sleeping bats nested inside the cracks of the mine.
And finally we ended our trip at Red Rock:
My brother took me out to Red Rock Canyon State Park (roughly 1.5 hrs North of LA) for my bachelor trip. I wasn't going to do bachelor trip since I figured it was already too late to gather all the guys but my brother was able to set some time off. We left late afternoon and decided to make camp at Jawbone and leave for Red Rock at dawn.
We came across this narrow ledge which looks a lot more sketchy in person. I didn't feel that daring and decided to go through a minor rock garden instead.
After passing the rock garden, we had a few hours left to explore before we had to head back home.
I came out to Big Bear with a few of my close friends for the weekend. Once there, I was able to try the Enforcer suspension and was impressed.
I wish I took more photos of the installation process but because I was crunched for time, I had to do the install as quickly as possible in order to leave for camping the next day. I decided to start with the front then move off to the rear.
After installing the front springs, I decided that it was best to also install the EVO drag link flip . The big part of the install was drilling and enlarging the drag link hole to 13/16".
After finishing with the front, it was time to move to the rear. The rear was much easier.
Cutting the stock track bar brackets and installing the EVO Trackbar brackets.
It took me awhile to get this kit installed only because I had limited space.
We first camped over in Alabama Hills. The next morning, we had breakfast over in Whitney Portal.
After some looking around, we then made our way over to Reward Mine to do some exploring.
At a distance is Funnel Lake. It wasn't much of a lake at that point and more like a huge pond teeming with mosquitoes. We've been told fishing was good hear but we stick long enough to try. Instead of camping right beside the water, we drove about 2 miles up to set camp just to avoid the bugs.
3AM - We all got up right at the same time when we thought we heard a bear and decided it was time to restart the fire. After warming up a little, we decided to crawl back into our hammocks.
At daybreak, Nick cooked up some hash browns, eggs, and bacon for breakfast.
Last look before heading home.
I swapped over from the stock bumper to the EVO MFG Rear Fascia. Removal of the stock bumper and install of the Fascia was super easy. Pretty happy how it looks.
A few days later, I finally had the time to install the D-Rings. They went in easy without having to be tapped. You do however have to cut a the frame in order to get the bolts inside. Now all that's left to do is trim the frame so that the Fascia and the mounts sit flush.
Update: 10/28/16 - After dropping the tire down to 30 PSI, the ride is amazingly smooth!
I scored a full set of used Fox 2.0 Factory Series shocks locally for a steal of a price. They were used for about 5 months and have never seem any off-road dirt. Practically brand new!
Install was fairly easy and straightforward. I put the rears on first without much of an issue. The fronts took me awhile. I had to look back at the instructions online since I didn't have any on hand. After figuring out what went where, the install went quick.
The ride is amazing. The jeep feels and drives more like a sports car on road. Can't wait to try it off-road!
